Neptune Technology Group and Fluid Conservation Systems Form Alliance

TALLASSEE, ALABAMA - [February 5, 2008] - Neptune Technology Group Inc. and Fluid Conservation Systems, Inc. (FCS) have combined two field-proven technologies to offer water utilities a single system for Automatic Meter Reading and advanced leak monitoring.

Neptune’s ARB® Utility Management Systems™ offer unparalleled low cost of ownership with their proven reliability, migration capability and value-added functionality including leak detection, tamper indication and reverse flow detection directly from the meter. Neptune has further enhanced the value of our systems by offering compatibility with the FCS Permalog® leak noise logger.

When combined with the FCS Permalog leak noise loggers, the Neptune R900® can transmit leak information from water distribution mains and service connections. Utilities can now perform system leak monitoring while reading their meters using Neptune’s mobile AMR system. This combination of technologies eliminates the need to purchase separate meter reading and leak detection systems or send two crews to perform these functions. Another benefit of combining the systems is the improvement in battery life. The battery of the typical Permalog can be expected to last 5 to 7 years. By sharing power with the powerful D-cell battery in the R900, the battery life of the Permalog unit is expected to increase to 10 to 12 years, thus doubling the effective life of the Permalog leak noise logger.

Charles (Chuck) C. DiLaura, President of Neptune Technology Group Inc., states, “The opportunity to work with FCS in providing a state-of-the-art leak monitoring system is extremely exciting and supports our mission of becoming the “most valued partner” for our customers. Our combined capabilities provide water utilities with a tool to better manage non-revenue water in an efficient and cost effective manner.”

About Fluid Conservation Systems, Inc.
FCS (www.fluidconservation.com) was the first organization to patent leak correlation technology in the United States and is currently the North American industry leader in water leak detection technology. The company supplies highly sophisticated leak detection products. These include correlators that are used to pinpoint the position of leaks in underground water mains, leak noise loggers to localize the general area of a leak, pressure controllers to minimize leakage and flow/pressure loggers to monitor water supply networks. By implementing a thorough water system survey program using FCS equipment, over 1000 water utilities all across the U.S. have been able to save time and money.
