Closing the Gate on Leaks while Collecting Final Reads through the R900® Gateway
The City of Richmond, British Columbia engaged Neptune to read its metered residential accounts – 11,000 by touchpad and the other 11,000 by mobile automatic meter reading (AMR). To catch costly leaks that sometimes went on for as long as 15 weeks undetected , and help customers avoid high water bills, Richmond used Neptune’s R900® System to improve customer service through daily leak, backflow, tamper detection for targeted accounts, as well as data logging to identify intermittent or continuous leaks. Using a modular approach to implementation, the City has been able to migrate at its own pace.
