Since 2001, each Neptune bronze-body water meter has been made of a lead free bronze alloy at the company’s own foundry. Although more costly to cast than leaded bronze meters, the process provides a safer product for Neptune’s customers and their customers, and for the environment as a whole. Whether measuring flow for residential or Commercial and Industrial applications, our lead free bronze alloy meters not only meet current federal regulations, but also the recent amendments to the NSF/ANSI 61 rules, called Annex F and Annex G, which contain more stringent maximum lead levels for drinking water quality. Neptune’s water meters already meet these future requirements.
