Neptune Receives 2011 River Region Ethics in Business and Public Service Large Business Award

TALLASSEE, ALABAMA – October 7, 2011 – Neptune Technology Group Inc. (.Neptune.) received the 2011 River Region Ethics in Business and Public Service Large Business Award at the Second Annual Awards Luncheon held on October 3, 2011 at Wynlakes Golf and Country Club in Montgomery, Alabama.

The award recognized Neptune’s engagement in volunteerism and community service; efforts toward employee health and safety; company diversity, training, and education; and its adherence to high ethical standards.

Accepting the award on behalf of Neptune, Tom Crawford, Director of Manufacturing Services, stated, .Neptune is committed to be the most valued partner of our utility customers and help them manage the world’s scarce water, energy, human, and funding resources. We also view our suppliers, our employees, and our community as most valued partners. Neptune employees have worked very hard to grow a successful business based on a strong, ethical, and fair business culture since the company was founded in 1892. This work has continued since relocating to the River Region in 1972.. 

Headquartered in Tallassee, Alabama, Neptune is actively involved in charitable organizations and community service efforts — from the local level with Rainbow Omega, a faith-based residential program for adults with developmental disabilities, to the international organization Water For People of which Neptune is a worldwide sponsor. The River Region Ethics in Business and Public Service Awards is a program of The Samaritan Counseling Center, Inc. in collaboration with Auburn University Montgomery’s (AUM) School of Business and School of Sciences. The purpose of the program is to bring the importance of business and public service ethics to the forefront of communities throughout the River Region and to honor those individuals and companies that practice and believe in good ethics.
